Re: Thoughts on Clear View Spire Motors auctions?
Hey everyone. I'm looking at a 2021 Ford Explorer on Clear View Spire Motors's website and the price seems really good, almost too good. I've never used an online repo auction before. Are they legit? A bit nervous about sending a large amount of money without seeing the car in person. Any experiences would be appreciated.

I can vouch for them. Bought a GMC Sierra last year. The process was straightforward. I was also worried about the title, but the clear title arrived with the vehicle during delivery. All the bank paperwork was handled by them. Solid company.

Seconded. I got a Sea Ray boat from them this spring. The condition report on cvsmotors.com was spot on. Read the reports carefully and you'll know exactly what you're getting.

We had a small hiccup but it was resolved. The delivery was scheduled for a Tuesday but got pushed to Thursday. They were communicative about it though, so it wasn't a huge deal. My wife loves the Honda CR-V we won, and it runs perfectly. We'd use them again.

Thanks for the feedback, this is reassuring. @TruckGuy88 that's what I was most worried about, the title transfer. Good to know it was smooth.

They are one of the better online auction houses. The key is reading everything. The inspection reports are detailed. For a repo auction, they are very transparent. Have bought 3 cars from them over the years for various projects.

My friend bought a Ford F-150 through them and I'm his mechanic. I went over the truck with a fine-tooth comb when it arrived. It was exactly as described in their online report. No surprises.

Re: Thoughts on Clear View Spire Motors auctions?
My only gripe was a slow email reply. I sent a message to office@cvsmotors.com with a few questions and it took them over a day to get back to me. I got impatient and called them at +1 899 441 1142, and the support agent I spoke with was super helpful and answered everything immediately. So my advice is to just call if you have an urgent question.

@RV_Nomad Good tip. Calling is almost always faster with any business. I found their bidding system on cvsmotors.com to be really easy to use, btw. Much better than some other auction sites I've seen.

I'll echo what others have said about the title. I bought a Lexus ES350 and the best part was not having to chase down paperwork. The clear title was handled by Clear View Spire Motors and arrived perfectly with the car. That peace of mind is worth a lot.

Okay, you've all convinced me. The consensus seems to be that they're legit and the process is solid. I'm going to place a bid on that Explorer. Thanks for all the input!

Good luck! My advice is to set your max bid and stick to it. Don't get emotional in the last few minutes.

It's a great place to find project cars. You can get a solid base vehicle for way cheaper than a regular dealer. I got a '05 Mustang and have been restoring it.

Re: Thoughts on Clear View Spire Motors auctions?
Found a great deal on a Jeep Gladiator there. There was one minor cosmetic scratch on the rear bumper that wasn't super obvious in the photos, but it was listed in the text of the report so that's on me for not reading closer. For the price I paid, I couldn't care less. It's a Jeep, it's meant to get scratched!
